What an amazing couple!! From the first time meeting these two, you can definitely get the “in-love” sense. Jennifer + Paul have a “together” feel to them all the time. Whether it be sitting quietly, at a loud sporting event or playfully poking fun at one another…you can tell these two are in love.

An awesome day was set up. Paul would hang with some guys, grab a bit to eat and get ready to see his bride. Jennifer was ready to go first thing in the morning with hair and make-up. Paul was sending Jennifer gifts all morning…surprise gifts. As we moved toward the church to get in the tux and dress, the anticipation was building. They had not seen each other all day and they were ready. It was a beautiful day for a great ceremony. Jennifer + Paul shared that first look as she came through the church doors. The whole room could feel the love.

Once we got to the reception, complete with a live band and a view of Fountain Square, they fun was about to begin. Great food, music and friends was the theme for the evening and everything was perfect. Teresa, Paul’s sister, had done an awesome job with the planning. Things looked great. Paul’s father and Jennifer’s sister would deliver the toasts for the evening and we were struck by Paul’s father’s toast. As he stood as best man to his son all day, you could tell the pride and joy he had on this day. It came out in incredible fashion in his toast.

To Jennifer + Paul:

Its been whirl-wind year for us. All kinds of sweet stuff has lead us to this path. If you’ve read previous posts you will see a specific post from Kelly and a specific post from Mike. Now its my turn. This year we have had the honor to film some friends weddings. Each were amazing in their own unique way. We have been a part of each of the couples lives. Jenny + Jeremy…as a couple…we knew the longest.

Jenny + Jeremy worked with us in a “previous life”. Starting their lives together 10 years ago, it was amazing to see their day finally unfold. Jenny has been planning this since year 2. Truth be told…Jeremy probably too. Starting off that morning, it was the same Jenny + Jeremy we always knew. Jenny was relaxed, playful, loud and ready to get down that aisle. Jeremy was ready for some lunch, a little nervous, wanting everything perfect and ready for Jenny to come down the aisle. They had an amazing location picked for their first look and pictures before the ceremony. The excitement was building to see each other all morning and it was well worth it. Then it was off to get married and PARTY. And I do mean party. Throughout the whole day you could tell how calm Jenny + Jeremy were about their day. It was sweet. And it shows.

To Jenny + Jeremy:
Thank you. Thank you for letting us be a part of and capture this day. Thanks for being in our lives for so long. We wish you the very best. We love you both. Keep those smiles, laugh more than you have in the past 10 years and remember how you felt on this day. Congratulations!

Brittany + Jeff…a sweet, totally laid back and totally in to one another couple. Brittany had an awesome backless dress. Jeff had a great pair of boots to match the dress. The church where they were married had no center aisle. This causes no problems…except for when the groom wants to see his bride and all the guests are standing. Jeff was jumping to try to see Brittany as she came down the aisle. This was awesome and sweet. Brittany had done the hair, make-up and got in that amazing dress. The reception was at the historic Fort Piqua Plaza. Great speeches from each father and personal touches from the best man and matron of honors toasts. Toy Story 1, 2 and 3 for the kids to enjoy during the reception, a photo booth and full dance floor. Jeff rode in on a John Deere pedal tractor complete with his bride riding in a wagon attached to the back. Brittany + Jeff had a great day!

Jamie had it all planned and was very chill on her wedding day. Getting ready at her parents house, while Mom finished up some center pieces and Dad made sure we had pizza and fruit. The day was Jamie’s and she was going to enjoy it. Tim went with the guys for a little morning golf to burn off some excitement, but we aren’t sure it worked. He couldn’t wait for that first look. Jamie + Tim would have their ceremony at the formal gardens on Miami University’s campus. It provided an incredible setting for the first look as well. With her BFF’s, Carie and Tarie (love you ladies), Jamie was set to marry Tim and then have a great time at a great reception. And…based on previous experience with Carie…these girls were going to dance…alot! Jamie + Tim were perfect on their perfect day. Sweet ceremony, great meal and Melford T to help party the night away.

Chicago, Illinois…June 25th. Five hours from our hometown of little ole’ Dayton, Ohio…my blonde haired best friend, Chelsea was getting married. In a big city…to one of the greatest guys…ever
When two people are meant to be…things tend to align. The perfect song, the perfect night, the perfect wedding. And Chelsea + Andy made everything perfect. And just under 1 year after Chelsea stood with me as I said ‘I do’ to my perfect man….I was able return the favor and stand with her as she started her married life. And I couldn’t be more grateful…or happy for both of them.

Congratulations on everything. And thank you from the bottom of my (+ our) hearts for letting us be such a huge part of it. If anyone ever says filming and editing friends weddings is easier because you know them….never filmed their best friends wedding. That’s the equation we experienced at this wedding. Wow! Natalie + Dave served up one of the most touching days we have ever been a part of…ever. Both families were so incredibly nice and moved by the events of the day. There were tears from bridesmaids, moms, dads, aunts, uncles, friends and that was all long before the beginning of the ceremony.

The Simon Kenton Inn was hit by a small tornado the week before the wedding. Trees were blown down, buildings damaged and the grounds left in shambles. The crew at the Inn went to work and got everything in order for Natalie + Dave’s day. The outdoor ceremony location was a little rearranged, but nothing could keep it from being amazing. And with a unique couple came a lot of unique happenings throughout the day…Natalie surprised Dave with a wedding band forged from the rings of their grandfathers…there was a love knot tied during the ceremony and Dave even sang his original “date” song he wrote for Natalie during their reception. There was so much that went into making this a special day, and Natalie + Dave glowed from start to finish.
